INvirolution in the other hand...
Due to the pandemic our festival on Platt Fields park on 23rd May 2020 has had to be postponed. So we have decided to launch INvirolution online festival! This will have all the areas and activities we usually have on the park, and much more! As this time we can take it global. Look out for more details on our event page and get in touch if you would like to be involved.
Plant Powered GRUB
Bringing Manchester’s biggest extraVEGANza, the GRUB collective of vegan street food traders will be returning to share their plant powered treats at Envirolution festival on May 23rd. 2020
Whether you fancy fragrant Thai food, want to try a fresh take on pizza, or your sweet tooth leads you to cake, you’ll find plenty of new ways to tantalise your taste buds. It’s also a great way to get inspired by inventive ways to make the most of the food resources we have without harming animals and reducing our impact on the planet.
Music, dancing, wellbeing, stalls, games, art and learning.

Every part of the Envirolution festival is created to make your experience enjoyable and share inspiration around simple things we can do to reduce our impact on the planet. It’s not about preaching, just fun activities and experiences designed to make people think differently. Come down on 23th May 2020 to see what others are doing to impact climate change, see cool ideas for recycling and enjoy being a part of the diverse Manchester community.

Getting to the Festival
Platt Fields is located in South Central Manchester, roughly 2 miles from the city centre. It borders Rusholme, Fallowfield and Moss Side. It can easily be reached on foot or by bus from the centre of Manchester.
Public Transport
Platt Fields is very well served by public transport. On the east side of the park is Wilmslow Road. Many services go from the Piccadilly Garden bus station to parts of Manchester south of the park, and stop by the park. These include the following services:

By Bike
If cycling you may find the Fallowfield Loop useful. It is an off-road cycle path from Chorlton to Gorton which runs south of the park, about 300m away. You can exit the Loop at Avian Drive, Bethnall Drive and Yew Tree Road to get to the park. There are plenty of bike lock ups throughout the park and around the festival site.Â
By Road
The park has a carpark, accessible via Langley Rd (off Wilmslow Rd, on the corner with USDAW trade union office.Â
Please note that the carpark and Wilmslow Road can sometimes get very busy, especially during the festival, so you may wish to consider public transport, cycling or parking further away.
