Other Projects

Our work outside of our local community includes:

COP26

Envirolution delivered presentations and workshops at the United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow in 2021, which has led to partnerships and the sharing of ideas and methods of how to engage as many people as possible to encourage positive action on climate change.

Aberdeen Community Assemblies

Envirolution teamed up with North East Scotland Climate Action Network (NESCAN and helped train up facilitators of the Community Assemblies in Aberdeen. We also delivered workshops there on ways of engaging communities on this vital issue! Including one on the value of running Envirolution festivals, which has led to the first ever Envirolution outside of Manchester at Envirolution Aberdeen!

Green Gathering Festival

Over the years Envirolution has had a presence at many festivals and events around the UK. Here we have run plastic awareness campaigns at those festivals where you are wading through single use plastic cups at the end of the night, convincing bar managers to change their ways. We have also run workshops at many which raise awareness of positive actions like food growing. On our Fun Filled Farms Fridays we teach children about food growing and where to start helping them create their own mini farms! Or on Superhero Saturdays, children design their own superhero costume and decide what their superpower would be, inspiring them to be changemakers! Every year we also help run the Kid’s area at Green Gathering festival, which is a great way for our volunteers to meet new people and learn about some of the amazing campaigns, speakers and organisations icurrently making waves in the environment movement
